Operational Boundaries & Requirements
To maintain safety and comply with aviation standards, our thermal rescue flights are subject to a few strict operating conditions:
- Weather Factors: We cannot fly in active, heavy downpours or sustained high winds.
- Temperature Differentials: Thermal imaging works best when there is a clear difference between the animal's body temperature and the ground temperature. Because of this, summer emergency searches are highly optimized for late evening, night, and early morning hours when the ground cools down.
